Thomas Edward Smith

Mr. Thomas Edward Smith, 76, of Lee Road, Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Saturday, January 7, 2006 at Wellstar Douglas Hospital. He was born April 21, 1929 in Paulding County, Georgia. He was the son of the late Mrs. Nancy Ida Smith. He married Margie Voyles on August 20, 1949 in Paulding County, Georgia. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict and was a woodworker. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mrs. Margie Voyles Smith of Lithia Springs, two sons and daughters-in-law, Edward Marshall and Janice Marie Smith of Lithia Springs and Neal Robert and Tammy Elaine Smith of Dallas; one granddaughter, Ashley Elaine Smith of Dallas. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Voyles officiating. Interment will follow at Powder Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel on Monday, January 9, 2006 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
