Thomas Moores

Mr. Thomas Joseph Moores, age 66, of Temple, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018. He was born August 14, 1952 the son of the late Mr. Thomas Bernard Moores, and Mrs. Marilyn Lyman Moores. He was a Boy Scout Assistant Scout Master for Troop 138 in Carrollton, Georgia. He was involved with Carroll County 4H Shotgun Shooting Team. Loved anything outdoors and enjoyed taking the grandkids fishing. Mr. Moores served his country by devoting nearly 20 years of his life to the US Navy.He is survived by his wife, Margaret Evelyn Landry Moores; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Dion Thacker of Temple, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kimberly Moores of Temple, Georgia; sisters and brother-in-law’s, Teresa and Richard Udden of Marshfield, Massachusetts, Lynne and Alan Moules of Whitman, Massachusetts, Maryann Sullivan and her late husband Kevin of Braintree, Massachusetts; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Dianne Moores of Plainville, Massachusetts; four grandchildren, Branden, Nathaniel, Colleen and Kaleb; one great grandchild, Hudson; nieces, Tina, Courtney, Jasmine, and Arianna; nephews, Jeremy, Tim and Alec. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH). Interment will be Friday, January 4, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses.Messages of condolences may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
