Thomas Rae Glisson

Mr. Thomas Rae Glisson, age 80, of Winston, Georgia passed away Friday, April 17, 2020. He was born December 25, 1939, in Goldsboro, North Carolina, the son of the late Charles Rae Glisson and the late Sibil Brown. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Glisson was a criminal defense/family law attorney in Douglasville for over 30 years. He loved animals, especially dogs and enjoyed spending his free time fishing and hunting. In addition to his parents, Mr. Glisson is preceded in death by his sister, Sybil Grace Glisson. He is survived by children, Jennifer Sybil Christine Glisson of Ellijay, his son, John Thomas Glisson and his wife, Kimberly Sue Glisson of Woodstock and step-son Brandon Lee Upshaw and his wife, Anna Vaughan-Upshaw of Douglasville; his brother, Robert Glisson of Virginia; his grandchildren, Caleb Thomas Glisson and Asher Christian Glisson. We are still providing services to our families based on CDC Covid-19 guidelines. According to Mr. Glisson's wishes, he will be cremated. No services are planned at this time.
