Mr. Thomas Lee Richardson, age 93, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice following an extended illness. He was born September 20, 1919 in Carroll County, Georgia the son of the late Mr. James Omer Richardson and the late Mrs. Elsie Elizabeth Carden Richardson. He married Dallas Watson on October 1, 1939 in Carrollton, Georgia. He served in the U.S. Navy having served in active duty during World War II. He was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church of Lithia Springs. Mr. Richardson was a farmer and worked in the tile and steel mill for many years. He enjoyed bowling and fishing and was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 60 years.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson, Kent Mealer; son-in-law, Jack Mealer; sisters, Edna Lenora, Doris Clarke, Rudene Thompson, and Martha Patterson; brother, Ollie Garst Richardson. He is survived by his wife, Dallas Watson Richardson of Lithia Springs; daughter, Sandra R. Mealer of Villa Rica; sister, Sarah Marks of Newnan; grandchildren, Alan and Charlene Mealer of Dallas, Blake and Pam Mealer of Douglasville, Regina and Darren Shaw of Douglasville, Leann Weaver of Villa Rica, and Christy Mealer of Temple; 12 great-grandchildren; 5 great, great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, April 20, 2013, at 2:00PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Ron King, Rev. Mike Sinyard, Rev. Ikey Watson, and Dr. Marion Beaver officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Navy Honor Guard and Masonic Rites will be provided by members of the West Georgia Masonic Memorial Club. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, on Friday, April 19, 2013, from 2:00-8:00PM. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
