Thomas Webb

Mr. Thomas Roy Webb, age 90, of Douglasville passed away, Friday, May 26, 2017. He was born September 18, 1926 in Douglas County the son of the late Mr. Fred Guy Webb and the late Mrs. Prudence Daniell Webb. Mr. Webb served in the United States Army, United States Navy, and the United States Air Force. He served during World War II as a combat Medic and Surgical Technician. Mr. Webb retired after 30 years of service with International Harvester. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, walking trails, making walking sticks and church. He was a member of Lithia Springs First Baptist Church.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Estelle Davison Webb; brothers, Guy Webb and Hugh Webb; sisters, Orilla Webb and Lena Dickinson.He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Diane and John Helms of Lithia Springs; sons and daughter-in-law, Thomas Randall “Randy” and Patty Webb of Winston, Steven and Tim Webb of TN; sister, Imma Estelle Webb of Douglasville; brother and sister-in-law, Pete and Brenda Webb of Newnan; four grandchildren, Valerie Webb, Jeff Helms, Kevin Webb and Jeremy Helms; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Mr. Webb will lie in state Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Lithia Springs First Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Lithia Springs First Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Sinyard and Dr. Marion Beaver officiating.
