Mr. Timothy Ollie Lanning, 44, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away suddenly Thursday, May 4, 2006 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident He was born May 1, 1962 in Cedartown, Georgia. He was the son of Howard L. Lanning and Flora Carden. Mr. Lanning was of the Baptist Faith. He worked as an automotive mechanic and in the construction industry. Survivors include his common-law wife, Sheila Graham of Villa Rica; his son, Timothy Jake âT.J.â Lanning of Winder, his step-daughters and their husbands, Toni and Matt Nicholson of Villa Rica and Laura and David Stinson of Douglasville; his mother, Flora Carden of Atlanta; his father, Howard L. Lanning of Cedartown; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Lynn and Martin Smith of Rex and Kay and Henry Mayo of Winder; brothers, Milton Lanning of Henry County, Gene Lanning of Clayton County and Roger Lanning of Clayton County; 3 grandsons; 1 granddaughter; 2 aunts; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, May 7, 2006 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Pastor Michael Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Little Vine Church Cemetery in Bremen, Georgia.
