Tony Miles, 80, of Douglasville, GA, passed away after an extended illness on October 11, 2025 at Tranquility Hospice in Austell, GA. Tony was born July 5, 1945 in Indianapolis, IN. He was the son of the late E. M. and Elsie Siefert Miles. He was the loving, devoted husband to Linda Miles. They were married 59 years.

In addition to his parents and two sisters, Rose Lee Morris and Peggy Capron, Tony was preceded in death by his daughter Melissa Miles-Pressley and his son Christopher Thomas Miles.

In addition to his wife, Tony is survived by two granddaughters, Madison M. (Nunn) Asher, her husband Jonah, and Emily Pressley, son-in-law Steven E. Pressley, daughter-in-law Michelle Miles, grandsons Cason Cowart and Eugene Cole Pressley, niece Tammy Davis-Carpinetti, niece Denise Morris Williams, nephew Bill Morris, great nephew John Ferrier, and great niece Jennifer Kay Ferrier and her children.

Upon graduation from high school, Tony entered the Air Force. After serving 15 years working as a Radio Relay Equipment Repairman, Flight Simulator Technician, Space Communications System Equipment Operator/Technician, and Ground Radio Communication Repairman, he was accepted into the Airman's Education and Commissioning Program, completing a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Carolina. He then served 10 years as a commissioned officer. Following his retirement from the Air Force, he worked for a small logistics firm in Warner Robins, then for Lockheed Martin in Marietta, GA, retiring after 20 years.

Tony had many interests and skills. He loved trouble shooting problems. He could repair radios, cars, rebuild computers, fix broken appliances, install an irrigation system, and even build a deck. When something was broken, he was the man to call. Tony was also an Amateur Radio Operator, with the operating call sign KD4CJO. Tony's career in the Air Force and his years at Lockheed took him to several countries and many stateside locations. Prior to his illness, he and his wife enjoyed RV travel. One of his greatest joys was spending school holidays traveling with his grandchildren, especially frequent trips to Disney World.
