Mr. Travis Wendell Redding, 67, of Temple, Georgia passed away Friday, May 19, 2006. He was born February 26, 1939 in Carroll County, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Frank Redding and the late Mrs. Ruth Swanson Redding. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Temple. He served in the U.S. Army and worked on the assembly line for Ford Motor Company. He was an active community leader having served on the Temple City Council. He was a avid supporter of the Temple High School Band, Baseball and Football Fields. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Ann Jackson Redding. He is survived by his wife, La Rae Mabrey Redding of Temple; four sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Stephanie Redding of Temple, Scott and Anna Redding of Temple, Jeremy and Misty Walker of Villa Rica, and Jacob Walker of Kennesaw; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Shirley Redding of Temple and Lewis and Patricia Redding of Centre, AL, 6 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Winston. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, May 22, 2006 at 4:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Larry Boswell and Rev. Clarence Agan officiating. Interment will follow at New Brooklyn Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Glen Reid, Chuck Thompson, David Huff, Kenneth Pearce, Tim Redding, Mark Redding, Gene Holman, and Howard Price. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, May 21, 2006 from 5:30 PM until 9:00 PM. Messages of condolences to the family may be sent to www.jones-wynn.com.
