Mr. Troy Lee Davenport, 53, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, June 19, 2017. He was born May 25, 1964 in Decatur, Georgia. He worked as a mechanic and most recently he worked as a cab driver for A-1 Cab Company in Mableton. He loved life, flying and riding motorcycles. He had a good hearted nature, a great sense of humor and enjoyed being a prankster to family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Vera Archer Davenport of Douglasville; three stepsons, Ricky Mitchell, Dustin Harris, and Brandon Mitchell all of Douglasville; his mother and stepfather, Thelma Laverne McKee Goza and Sam Goza of Ellenwood; father, Fred Oliver Davenport of Jasper, TN; sisters, Alice D. Brothers of Douglasville and Elva D. Charlot of Sandy Springs; one grandchild, Dalton Mitchell; niece, Alexia Charlot; nephews, Michael Adams, William Adams, Joseph Adams, and Joshua German; his mother-in-law, Jewel Archer of Douglasville; several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive. A Celebration of Life Gathering for family and friends will be Saturday, July 8, 2017 beginning at 2:00 PM at Pavillion #2 at McIntosh Reserve Park, 1046 W Mcintosh Circle, Whitesburg, GA 30185. In accordance to his wishes, his body will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Mr. Troy Lee Davenport may be made to St. Judeâs Childrenâs Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
