Mrs. Vanessa Patrice Allen Gay, age 51 of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Saturday, September 7, 2019. She was born March 9, 1968 in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. Japhus Wood and Mrs. Willie Mae Allen. She loved her family and grandchildren, always said she loved everybody and loved to help and encourage people with their problems. She sewed costumes and dresses for her family. Mrs. Gay was a member of Word of Faith Church. Mrs. Gay is survived by her husband of 33 years, Mr. Pontius Gay of Douglasville, Georgia; daughters and son-in-law, Porsha Gay and Eric Rahim of Douglasville, Georgia; Jasmine Gay of Douglasville, Georgia; sons and daughter-in-law, Pontius and Antwonette Gay IV of Douglasville, Georgia, Solomon Gay of Douglasville, Georgia, Noah Gay of Douglasville, Georgia, Jeremy Rogers of Douglasville, Georgia; sister, Tamika Allen of Douglasville, Georgia; brothers, Antoine Allen of Atlanta, Georgia, Zay Allen of Macon, Georgia; seven grandchildren, Sydnii, Jamison, Annisten, Langston, Amelia, Pontius V, and Michael; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville, Tuesday, September 17, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Memorial services will be conducted Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville.
