Velma Estelle Wright

Velma Estelle Wright, age 94, of Lithia Springs, Georgia, passed away Friday, October 7, 2022. She was born on April 2, 1928 in Paulding County, Georgia, and was the daughter of the late John Richard White and the late Dora Viola Locklear. Mrs. Wright was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She had a great sense of humor that is going to be missed by everyone that knew this wonderful lady.  She was a member of Douglasville Church of Christ. She taught Sunday school for many years and is going to be deeply missed by her family.

Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years Mr. James Lucien Wright, Sr.; parents, John Richard White and Dora Viola Locklear; step-mother, Ethel White.

She is survived by four children, Meribeth (Garry) Gable of Jenkinsburg, GA, Lois Axtell of Jenkinsburg, GA, James (Karon) Wright of Lithia Springs, GA, Yvonne (Brian) Reardon of California; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.

Mrs. Wright’s wishes were to be cremated and there are no services planned at this time.
