Venia Tumlin

Mrs. Venia Janelle Waits Tumlin, age 78, of Villa Rica, passed away, February 27, 2015. She was born March 22, 1936 in LaGrange, the daughter of the late Mr. Roy Lee Waits and the late Mrs. Lelia LaVonia Evans Waits. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and member of Utopia Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Frank A. Tumlin; daughter, Beverly Tumlin Ridgway Ellis; daughter by choice, Jennifer Henry; brothers ,sisters, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Thomas James Waits, William and Ethel Waits, Nancy and Howard Floyd, and LaVonia Kennedy.She is survived by her daughter, Sharon L. Dills of Villa Rica; four grandchildren, Tiffany and Matt Drobisch, Deanna and Scott Minot, Ashley K. Dills and Colby Head, Loren Chase and Rebecca Ridgway; eight great-grandchildren, Parker Wooten, Brady Perry , Hayden Head, Reece Minot, River Minot, Kaitlin Drobisch, Madison Drobisch, and Oakley Ridgway; brother-in-law, Harvey Kennedy of LaGrange. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family would like to say a special thanks to Amedisys Hospice, especially Dorcas Jernigan, Leslie Lankford and Rev. Kenneth Brown.The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Monday, March 2, 2015 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, March 2, 2015 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Brown, Rev. Clay Pawley and Rev. Phillip Cook officiating.
