Verna Evans

Ms. Victoria Verna Evans, 69, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017. A native of Douglasville, she was born July 22, 1948 the daughter of the late Mr. Clyde Evans and the late Mrs. Ima Jewell Couch Evans. She retired from BellSouth as a Key Punch Operator after 33 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Evans; and sisters, Frances Camp, Nellie Bagwell, and Ann Long. She is survived by her son, Barry Fisher of Douglasville; three sisters, Pat Spivey of Winston, Jean Dukes of Douglasville, and Ruth Fretwell of John’s Creek; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. The family will receive friends at Lighthouse Church, 2758 Mann Road, Winston, Georgia 30187 Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Memorial Services will be conducted Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 6:00 PM at Lighthouse Church in Winston with Brother Eugene Lott and Brother Harold Washington officiating.
