Vilma Louise Gore Wessinger

Mrs. Vilma Louise Gore Wessinger, age 89, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2020. She was born March 15, 1931 in Randolph County, Alabama, the daughter of the late Mr. Tom Gore and the late Mrs. Ada Short Gore. Mrs. Wessinger was a homemaker. She loved to garden, work with flowers and was a talented piano player. Mrs. Wessinger was of the Pentecostal faith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. L. W. Wessinger; her son, Edward Wessinger, her daughter-in-law, Mary Wessinger; her brother Harvey Gore; grandsons, Michael Wessinger, Tommy Wessinger, Jr., and Joel Hamilton Sticher; and great-great grandchildren, Ashley Kirk and Paris Bradley. Mrs. Wessinger is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Mike Buckner of Cleveland, Georgia and Linda and Larry Sticher of Douglasville; her son, Tommy Wessinger of Douglasville; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglasville Tuesday, September 29, 2020 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 2:00PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglasville. The family respectfully requests that all in attendance wear a mask. Interment will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Douglasville.
