Vincent "Mississippi" Tyree Ard

Vincent “Mississippi” Tyree Ard, 68, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 18, 2023. He was born on August 3, 1954 in McComb, Mississippi. He is the son of Norma Jean and Chester Miller.

“Mississippi” loved to fish. He was a very friendly and talkative man who never met a stranger. He was a beloved member of Tabernacle of Faith in Douglasville, Georgia.

He is survived by his loving wife Sheila Nordman Ard; daughters and sons in law, Tina and Steven King II of Bowdon, Georgia, Angelina Nordman and Charles Quattlebaum of Mary Esther, Florida; grandsons, Christopher (C.J.) Nordman of Villa Rica, Georgia, Vincent LeBlanc of Bowdon, Georgia, Spencer King of Bremen, Georgia; granddaughter, Makenzie Nordman of Mary Esther, Florida; 3 great grandchildren; 3 brothers; 3 sisters; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel. In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Ard will be cremated following the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family to help with expenses.
