Mrs. Viola Elizabeth Brooks Fincher, age 92, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, November 7, 2010 at WellStar Tranquility Hospice. She was born May 28, 1918 in Hiram, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. John Thomas Brooks and the late Mrs. Bethie L. Bookout Brooks. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Douglasville and retired as a Payroll Administrator from Coats & Clark. She also had worked at Lamar Clothing Store in Austell. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother and she cherished her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny B. “K.B.” Fincher; and son, Robert Lee Atcheson. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Ray Vick of Lithia Springs; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Deborah Atcheson of Dallas; sister and brother-in-law, Loucinda and Russell Marlow of Hiram; 8 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Dr. John Pennington and Dr. Marion Beaver officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Tuesday, November 9, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
