Violet Reaves Corn, 81, of Anniston, Alabama; formerly of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center in Anniston. Mrs. Corn was born February 20, 1927 in Rome, Georgia; the daughter of the late Monroe Corn and the late Sally Conine Corn. Mrs. Corn was retired from Golden City Hosiery Mill where she worked as a spinner and was of the Baptist faith. She had a love of flowers and enjoyed gardening In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Seals L. Corn, Sr.; sons, William H. âBillyâ Corn, and Seals âButchâ Corn, Jr. and brother, Delbert Reeves. Survivors include daughter and son in-law, Deborah and Donnie Smith of Carrollton; sons and daughters in-law, Jimmy and Anita Corn of Carrollton; and Phillip and Wanda Corn of Weaver, Alabama; loving sister, Pansey Burney of Anniston; eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Pastor Jackie Bentley officiating.
