Virginia Ruth Culpepper, age 93, a beloved mother known for her unwavering love and dedication to her family, passed away on June 6, 2024. Virginia was born on March 8, 1931, in Douglasville, Georgia, to the late Mr. Theron A. Price and the late Mrs. Frances M. Price.
Virginia's life was a testament to the values of family, tradition, and love. Throughout her life, Virginia always had a warm and caring nature. She was a remarkable woman who embodied qualities of steadfastness, thoughtfulness, and love in everything she did. Virginia's proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly her family whom she cherished.
Virginia's memories will be treasured by all who knew her. From hosting Sunday dinners that became cherished traditions for her children to creating a magical Christmas for her loved one’s year after year, she had a knack for making every moment special. Her passion for decorating and cooking during the holiday season brought light and warmth to the hearts of many.
In addition to her loving nature, Virginia had a love for gardening and cooking, hobbies that brought her immense joy throughout her life. Her green thumb and culinary skills were admired by all who tasted her creations.
Apart from her parents, Virginia is preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Dr. Walter P. Culpepper; son, Wendell Culpepper; sisters, Betty E. Thompson and Sara N. Gardner.
She is survived by her daughters, Jean and her husband Tommy Childers, Sherri and her husband Stephen Ozcomert; son, Dr. Allen Culpepper; grandchildren, Craig Childers and his wife Debbie, Derrick Childers, Anya Dameron, and Christopher Culpepper; great-grandchildren, Evan Childers, Will Childers, Heather Moore, Josh Ray, and Landen Ray; brother, Jimmy Allen Price; as well as niece, Donna Cole and nephew, Dwain Thompson.
In accordance with her wishes, Virginia was cremated. A private celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
