Virginia Heyligar

Ms. Virginia Elaine Heyligar (nee Barkie), 90, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016. She Was born October 4, 1925 in Sand Hills, Berbice, Guyana, the daughter of the late George Barkie and Georgiana Haynes. She worked as a seamstress and was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Douglasville. She was predeceased by her brother Lionel and nephew Edward Embrack. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Neville and Barbara DeHaan of Douglasville; nieces Beverly Embrack, Bernadette (Leroy)​ ​Adonis, Kerda DeHaan; nephews ​Aubrey Saunders,​Julian DeHaan, Sean (Sonya)​ ​DeHaan, and Gary (Sandra)​ ​DeHaan, Michael​ Embrack​, ​Alwyn Embrack; great nieces Dynutha, Danielle, and Delice Adonis; Ibura DeHaan, Jasmine DeHaan, Olivia DeHaan; great nephews Morgen DeHaan and Winston DeHaan.Memorial Services will be conducted ​Friday August 12, 2016 ​at ​10:30 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Douglasville.
