Vivian Ernestine Brown Ploof

Mrs. Vivian Ernestine Brown Ploof, 83, of East Johnson Street, Temple, Georgia passed away Friday, November 18, 2005 at Carrollton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Carrollton, Georgia. She was born May 19, 1922, in Paulding County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Nobler Bell Brown and the late Frances Ellen Cooper Brown. Mrs. Ploof was a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Haralson County. She worked as a seamstress and was an active member of the Parent Teacher Association. Mrs. Ploof enjoyed spending time in her flower and vegetable garden. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and dedicated to her dogs and cats. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ploof was preceded in death by her brothers, Hoyt Brown and Wheeler Brown. Survivors include her husband of almost 60 years, Melber “Red” Ploof of Temple; daughters and son-in-law, Suellen and William H. Gary of Temple and Elizabeth “Beth” Robinson of Tallapoosa; son, Phillip H. Ploof of Temple; sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Clovis Akin of Stockbridge; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, November 21, 2005 at 2:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Wendell Rush and Rev. Horace Wilson officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery in Haralson County, Georgia.
