Wallace Jay Cochran, known affectionately as Wally, departed this world on December 29, 2025. He was born on August 27, 1937, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Mr. Clyde Cochran and the late Mrs. Marguerite Cochran. Wally is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Mrs. Jane Cochran; sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Christian Cochran, and Daniel and Kari Cochran; sister, Vicki Fauth; 3 grandchildren, Savannah Cochran, Jordan Cochran, and Timothy Cochran, Jr…and his beloved dog Skip!

Wally pursued his education at Otterbein University in Ohio, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in education. His time as an educator perfectly complemented his heartwarming personality. Wally loved this country and served proudly and honorably in the U.S. Army when his country called him. His kindness, good nature, and ability to make everyone feel welcome made Wally an exceptional salesman. His success in building relationships created the foundation for launching his own company, Wood Services Inc. that thrived for decades.

Wally was a lifelong and passionate supporter of sports and athletics; he was an AVID golfer and loved the Ohio State Buckeyes. He supported his community through coaching many different youth sports, and his deep commitment and encouragement inspired countless young athletes. Beyond sports, Wally’s other passions that brought immense joy were his faith, family, and travel.

Wally's devotion to his family was unwavering. He cherished his wife, Jane. The bond they created together stands as a testament to enduring love and partnership. To his family, he will always be remembered as a superhero.
