Walter Kilburn

Rev. Walter Eugene Kilburn, age 90, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018. He was born May 1, 1927 in Florence, Alabama the son of the late Mr. John Thomas Kilburn and the late Mrs. Velma Butler Kilburn. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Navy. He retired as a Methodist Minister following 40 years of service. He was a member of Midway United Methodist Church in Douglasville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Melba King Kilburn; sons, Phillip Kilburn and Michael Kilburn; and a brother, John T. Kilburn, Jr. He is survived by nieces and nephews, Angie and Leo Wells of John’s Creek, Iris and Ed Richards of Gainesville, Mack Jarrett of Douglasville, Eric and Debbie Jarrett of Panama City, FL; several great-nieces and great-nephews and extended family members. A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be conducted Monday, February 12, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Midway United Methodist Church in Douglasville with Rev. Dr. Francisco Artley officiating.
