Wayne Wayman Theodore Beck

"Wayne / Theo" Wayman Theodore Beck, age 73 of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021. He was born Tuesday, June 10, 1947 in Baxley, Georgia, the son of the late Alvin Sidney Beck and the late Hester Lou Brown Morris. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Terry Beck and sister, Julie Beck. Mr. Beck is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mrs. Brenda "Gail" Hudgens Beck of Douglasville, Georgia; daughter, Jennifer Grove of Douglasville, Georgia; Grandchildren, James Andrew Mackay, Christopher Wayne Mackay, Kayla Marie Grove, & Summer K Millirons, five Great Grandchildren; sisters, Gwen Thigpen, Ina Mason (spouse Irvin), & Dale Adams, of Douglasville, Georgia, and siblings in Mississippi include, Tommy, JJ, Leisa & Mary; and numerous nieces and nephews. "Papaw's" whole world was his family. A very dedicated husband, who put his wife first. He was also active daily in the lives of his daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was quick to laugh; energetic; dependable; an amazing listener and advisor to all! He enjoyed working with plants, whether a garden, his Japanese Maples, or something he got a clipping off of! He enjoyed the banter with friends and family as a Georgia Tech fan, but also enjoyed John Wayne, The Three Stooges, and all types of ships. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville, Georgia Monday, January 25, 2021 from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM. Services will be conducted at 5:00 PM in the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville with Rev. Mike Mallory officiating.
