Wayne Edward Workmaster

Mr. Wayne Edward Workmaster, age 74, of Douglasville, passed away Monday, October 2, 2023. He was born November 23, 1948 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Mr. Stuart Clifford Workmaster and the late Mrs. Corinne Workmaster. Wayne was a dedicated individual who touched the lives of many with his strong work ethic and his passion for various hobbies. While he may not have been an expert golfer, Wayne enjoyed playing the sport. Karaoke was another talent that Wayne possessed. He will forever be remembered for his captivating rendition of The Allman Brothers' "Whipping Post."  Wayne had a fondness for games, such as backgammon and puzzles. Despite the impact he made through his hobbies, it was Wayne's diligent work ethic that truly set him apart.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Stuart Workmaster, Jr.; sister, Cid Norris; sister in law, Mandy Workmaster.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Mrs. Vicki Workmaster; daughters, Raina (Robert) Lakin of Alpharetta, Cynthia (Terry) Taylor of Alexandria, AL; sons, Jamin (Adrienne) Workmaster of Cumming; Caine Rice of Douglasville; sister, Elizabeth (David) Bradley of Atlanta; brothers, Kurt (Tanya) Workmaster of Washington; Scott Workmaster of Enigma; grandchildren, Cameron Rice, Olivia Rice, Graham Rice, Ethan Barber, Chase Barber, Hollis Lakin, Lucas Workmaster, Sydney Quinn Workmaster and Addilay Taylor; and many dearly loved nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM.
