Mr. Wilburn Evans, 64, of Legion Lake Road, Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at Tanner Medical Center in Villa Rica. He was born July 22, 1941 in Catooga County, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Leonard Rube Evans and the late Mrs. Maudie Irene Laney Evans. He was of the Church of God Faith. He married Louise Mauldin on September 21, 1962 in Carroll County, Georgia. He worked as a builder at Simmons Mattress Company. He was an outdoor lover and enjoyed fishing and hunting. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his half sister, pat Gilreath. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mrs. Louise Mauldin Evans of Villa Rica; one son and daughter-in-law, Tony Wilburn and Ginger Evans of Villa Rica; three sisters and brother-in-law, Scarlette Pagett of Bremen, Phyllis and Harold Pritchard of Bremen, Dale and Dale McPherson of Mexico Beach, FL; seven brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael Evans of Villa Rica, Fate and Peggy Evans of Birmingham, GA, Jimmy and Bertine Evans of Greenville, Miss., Wayne and Earnestine Evans of Villa Rica, Willard Evans of Villa Rica, Kenneth Evans of Villa Rica, and Billy Ray Evans of Kennesaw; 3 grandchildren, Lillian Evans, Jeffrey Evans, and Ha-Lea Evans; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, October 8, 2005 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Brother Bryant and Mr. Muldoon officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery on Morgan Road in Temple. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 7, 2005 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Messages of condolences to the family may be sent to www.jones-wynn.com.
