William "Bill" Russell Robertson

Mr. William “Bill” Russell Robertson, age 83, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Wellstar Cobb Hospital. He was born August 31, 1926 in Sandrock, Alabama, the son of the late Mr. Homer D. Robertson, Sr. and the late Mrs. Eunice Johnson Robertson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilma Fay Robertson who died December 25, 1975. Since 1960, he was a devoted member of Lithia Springs First Baptist Church where he was a member of the Men’s Sunday School Class. He retired from General Motors. He married Betty Taylor Luke on December 11, 1977. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mrs. Betty Taylor Robertson of Lithia Springs; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Lee Blevins of Winston and step daughter and son-in-law, Sheryl and Jerry Covington of Lithia Springs; two sons and daughter-in-law, Charles and Naomi Robertson of Douglasville and Clayton Robertson of Cedar Bluff, AL; his sister, Margaret Edge of Leesburg, AL; his brother, H.D. Robertson, Jr. of Powder Springs; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. A Memorial Service will be conducted Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at 7:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Lithia Springs. A gathering of friends will be from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the church. The family will receive friends at Welcome Hill Baptist Church in Cedar Bluff, Alabama on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM (CST). Interment and Graveside Services will follow at 2:00 PM (CST) in the Welcome Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Cedar Bluff, Alabama. Messages of condolence may be sent from www.jones-wynn.com.
