William Carlton Maddox

Mr. William Carlton Maddox, 67, of Clarksville, Georgia passed away Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Northeast Georgia Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born August 14, 1942 in Atlanta, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Fred Dillard Maddox and the late Mrs. Carrie Lucille Reid Maddox. He married Christine Delores Stowers on December 13, 1979. He retired from Rocor Freight as a parts manager. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kelli Nicole Clare and grandchild, Eddie B. Sharp, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Christine Delores Stowers Maddox of Clarkesville; daughters, Karri Michelle Sharp of Mableton and Kassandra Claudine Smith of Turtletown, TN; sons, William Matthew McElhannon of Dahlonega and James Joshua McElhannon of Ellenwood; sisters, Shirley Kelley of Marietta and Marie Dye of Lithia Springs; brother, Preston Maddox of Barnesville; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; his father-in-law, William James Stowers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
