Mr. William Edward Middleton, Sr., age 88, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at the Brian Center Nursing Care in Powder Springs, Georgia. He was born April 16, 1921 in Brooklyn, New York. Mr. Middleton was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II and was a Purple Heart recipient. He was of the Christian faith. Mr. Middleton was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Minerva Irene Hornsby Middleton and his daughter, Dorothy Hill. Survivors include his children, Jessie Childress and her husband, Owen of Powder Springs, Frances Eskew of Marietta, Wilma Hyche and her husband, Chaplain Terry Hyche of Villa Rica, William Edward Middleton, Jr. of Bowdon, Debra Rose of Villa Rica and Becky Middleton of Villa Rica; 17 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and one niece also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, October 16, 2009 at 2:00PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Chaplain Terry Hyche officiating. Interment will follow in the Christus Garden at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens on Hickory Level Road in Villa Rica, Georgia with military honors.
