William Ellis

Mr. William Franklin Ellis (Bill), 65, of Roopville, Georgia, passed away peacefully August 2, 2015 after a lengthy battle with cancer.William Ellis was born September 7, 1949 in Douglasville, Georgia to the late Thomas Glen (T.G.) Ellis, and Myrtle Ruth Ellis (Thomas). He was a hard worker, and was an incredible mechanic, retiring from Blossman Gas in 2010. He was also very giving, and loving, as he was well renowned for helping anyone, from family to a stranger without asking for anything in return. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ellis was preceded in passing by his sister, Annie Compton, and former wife, and mother to his only child, Sarah Beth Ellis, from Kansas City, Missouri, along with two brothers, Thomas Glen Ellis, Jr. and Jackie Glenn Ellis, who passed in infancy. Survivors include, son, Grady Ellis, of Carrollton, Georgia; Sisters, Barbara (Ellis) Jones of Carrollton, Georgia, Diane Osborne of Franklin, Georgia, RoseMary Ellis of Carrollton, Georgia; brothers, Fred (Gale) Ellis, of Mableton, Georgia, Rocky (Risa) Ellis, of Carrollton, along with a special niece, Heather Cross, of Carrollton, Georgia, and very many nieces and nephews, whom he all loved and adored. He will always be remembered lovingly and deeply missed by all. Mr. Ellis will be cremated, and a Memorial will be announced at a later date.
