William Randy George

William Randy George, age 66, affectionately known as Randy, passed away on May 23, 2024. He was born on July 28, 1957, in Villa Rica, Georgia, to the late Mr. Joseph “Shorty” Houston George and Mrs. Frances Washington George. 

He was a loving and selfless man who cherished his family above else. Randy was described as quiet but outgoing, family-oriented, and a skilled handyman. Throughout his life, Randy found joy in simple pleasures such as fishing, riding motorcycles, tinkering with things around the house, occasional hunting trips, and boating. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors and being barefoot - as he jokingly would often say he was wearing "God's shoes." He had a warm personality that endeared him to everyone he met. Randy will be remembered for his unwavering love for his kids and grandkids as well as his generous spirit that touched the lives of many. His legacy of kindness and dedication to his loved ones will live on in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Randy is preceded in death by his father, Mr. Joseph “Shorty” Houston George, and son, William "Todd" George.

He will be dearly missed by his surviving family members which include his beloved mother, Frances Washington George; sons, Chad George, Christopher George, Kevin (Heather) George; sister, Debbie (Tim) Bryant; brother, Danny (Gail) George; grandchildren, Brent Watkins, Marissa George, Hannah Lawrence(George), William Lawrence(George), Ashley Lawrence(George), Natalie George, Hunter George, Jayce George, and Praylynn George; great-grandchildren, McKinlee, Remington, Colton, Luna and Drew; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM.
