Mr. William Parker Hathcock, Sr., age 87, of Temple, passed away March 10, 2012. He was born March 17, 1924 in Washington, DC the son of the late Mr. Bernard Dunlap Hathcock and the late Mrs. Faye Parker Hathcock. He was a CPAAttorney, graduating from the Woodrow Wilson Law School at Emory. He served in the United States Army during WWII serving in the Philippines, California, Guam and Tokyo. Mr. Hathcock loved fishing, traveling, puzzles and playing cards. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Steve Hathcock, brother and sister-in-law, Bernard and Helen Hathcock, and sister and brother-in-law, Erma and Thomas Travis. He is survived by his wife, Annie Ruth Holloman Hathcock of Temple; sons and daughters-in-law, William Parker and Norma Hathcock, Jr. of Gainesville, Lawrence Hilton and Debra Hathcock of Dalton, Randall Thomas and Jenny Hathcock of Douglasville; step-daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Corley Goldin of Temple; sister, Anna Newnan of Washington, DC; eight grandchildren; twenty four great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica Sunday, March 11, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, March 12, 2012 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Corley Goldin and Rev. Joshua Agan officiating.
