William Henry Nix

Mr. William Henry Nix, 92, of Austell passed away Thursday, September 29, 2005 at Austell Health Care in Austell. Mr. Nix was born May 28, 1913 the son of the late Mr. Alex Nix and the late Mrs. Ida Mae Donnely. He was a farmer and also worked as a custodian in the Cobb County school system. He was an avid supporter and attended all activities that were held at Austell Health Care. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Mariette. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mamie Mock Nix and daughter, Winnie Lou O’Hearn. Mr. Nix is survived by two daughters, Louvenia Brown of Douglasville, Thelma Hammond of San Antonio, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Clarence and Jean Nix of Carrollton; son-in-law, Lamar O’Hearn; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 30, 2005 at 3:00 PM from Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel with the Rev. Ernest Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens with the following serving as pallbearers: Tim Brown, Christopher Ward, Shane Ward, Kelly Nix, Mark O’Hearn and Michael O’Hearn. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel Friday, September 30, 2005 from 2:00 PM until the funeral hour.
