William Clifford Holloman, 89, of Temple, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025. He was born on November 23, 1935, the son of the late Herschel Clifford Holloman and the late Annie Stephens Holloman.
Clifford leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and integrity that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Clifford dedicated over thirty years of his professional life to Lockheed Martin, where his commitment and expertise shone brightly. After retiring, he found joy in pursuing his passions and spending time with his family.
He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, Clifford was admired for his warm spirit and kind heart. He was a loving Christian man, who held his faith close to his heart. Those who interacted with him learned quickly he was truly “sharp as a tack.”
Clifford’s love for his family and church family was evident and profound. He cherished his time spent with them. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Clifford valued the land deeply and he held a profound respect for its beauty.
Additionally, Clifford devoted many years to coaching little league baseball and midget football in Villa Rica, where he not only shared his athletic passion but also instilled important life lessons in the younger generations.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Patricia Newman Holloman; brothers, Ed Holloman, Gene Holloman, Charles Holloman and Robert Holloman.
He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Alan Holloman (Sheree) of Temple, Mike Holloman of Temple; wife, Diane Smith Holloman; step-sons, Darrell Smith (Sylvia) of Cedartown, and Scott Kenerly (Suzann) of Carrollton; sisters, Annie Ruth Hathcock of Temple, and Georgia Mae Boyd of Villa Rica; five grandchildren, Trent, Emily, Heather, Candace and Gared; twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 from 3:00 PM until 4:30 PM at Concord Baptist Church with funeral services at 4:30 PM with Pastor Sammy Clark and Pastor Joey Dedman. Interment will follow at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Trent Conner, Derek Guice, Gared Conner, Brandon Howard, Allan Young and Paul Skinner; honorary pallbearers, Scott Kenerly and Darrell Smith.
Clifford Holloman’s remarkable life will be remembered for its unwavering kindness, heartfelt devotion to family, and his ability to make meaningful connections with everyone he met. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, yet his spirit will live on in the countless lives he touched.
