William Land

Barry Land William Barry Land, 58 of Villa Rica, passed away, Thursday, August 8, 2013 in Jamaica. He was born December 6, 1954 in Villa Rica, GA. He was a 1972 graduate of Villa Rica High School and attended West Georgia College. He was an avid Sports fan, and was especially loyal to the Atlanta Braves. He was employed as the Parts Manager for Complete Parts, Inc. He was preceded in the death by his wife, Connie Jane Driver Land, his father, William Reuben “Billy” Land, Grandparents, Joe and Roxy Matthews and Milton and Lizzie Land and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Earl and Katie Driver. Survivors include his two sons Matthew Ross Land of Indianapolis, IN, and William Taylor Land of Douglasville, mother, Shirley Matthews Veitch of Villa Rica, brothers and sisters-in-law, Jackie Ray and Sylvia Veitch of Villa Rica, Jody and Michelle Veitch of Carrollton and several nieces, nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Villa Rica, Friday, August, 16, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 10:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Wayne Driver, Matthew Land and Taylor Land officiating. Honorary escort will include Jim Davis, Chris Thomas, Ricky Lewis, Craig McBurnett, Blake Brewer and Timmy Mattox. Barry will be cremated following the service and his ashes will be inurned in the Concord Cemetery beside his wife, Connie.
