William Mahaney

Mr. William Everett Mahaney, age 74, of Douglasville, passed away, Friday, May 10, 2019. He was born March 14, 1945 in Crossville, TN the son of the late Mr. James Thomas Mahaney and the late Mrs. Willie Marie Pippin Mahaney. Mr. Mahaney worked for Local Union 72 of Atlanta for many years. He loved playing golf, reading, watching western movies, working outdoors, his church family, and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ernest Mahaney, Roger Mahaney, Estes Mahaney, David Mahaney; sisters, Betty Roach and Wanda Smith. He is survived by his wife, Patricia “Pat” West Mahaney of Douglasville; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Steve McLendon of Temple; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Rhnea Mahaney of Douglasville, Joel and Michele Mahaney of Douglasville; sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Billy Smith of Crossville, TN; brother and sister-in-law, James and Bobbie Mahaney of Newton, AL; four grandchildren, Christen, Mason, Luke and Cole; two chosen grandchildren, Emily and Katie; three chosen great grandchildren, Ryan, Ruby, and Sophia; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home and Crematory of Douglasville, Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Meadows officiating.
