William Queen

Mr. William Alton Queen, 79, of Harlan Lane Road, Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017. He was born February 7, 1938, the son of the late Mr. William Edker Queen and the late Mrs. Sleetie Emaline Gantt Queen. He was a Machine Operator with Constar, and a member of New Season Pentecostal Church in Villa Rica, Georgia.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Dovie Mae Watkins Queen; brothers Willard Queen, Randall Queen, Danny Lee Queen and sister, Audene Mason. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law: Beverly Hodgson of Villa Rica, Georgia, Sherry and Jerry Nance of Carrollton, Georgia, and Patricia and Barry Nance of Carrollton, Georgia; brother and sister-in-law, Claude “Howard” and Marcelle Queen of Smyrna, Georgia and sister-in-law, Helen Queen of Orlando, Florida, seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren and many loved nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Sandy Springs Historic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
