William Shepherd

Mr. William “Wild Bill” Anthony Shepherd, 20, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Thursday, October 9, 2014. He was gone from this world too soon and touched every life he knew. He was born April 18, 1994, in Carrollton, Georgia, the son of Mr. Jay William Shepherd and Mrs. Sheryl Anne Davis Shepherd. He was a 2012 graduate of Douglas County High School where he excelled in football, baseball, and wrestling. Along with sports, he had many talents and interests - playing saxophone, scholastic achievements, leadership camp, fishing….and pretty much everything life had to offer. His smile was contagious and to know him was to love him….as you can tell by his being voted 2012 Prom King, along with his love, his Queen, Margaret Griffin. After high school, he went on to be a student athlete at West Georgia Tech. He was preceded in death by his sister, McKenna Shepherd; grandfathers, Mike Shepherd, Jerry Davis and great grandfather, Hoyt Shepherd. He is survived by his beloved mother, Sheryl Shepherd of Lithia Springs; beloved father, Bill Shepherd of LaGrange; an expected daughter and her mother, Erin Gardner; two sisters, Lindsay Shepherd and Jayden Shepherd; brother, Trevor Shepherd; greatly missed by grandparents, Sue Nunnally of Douglasville and Harriett Brown of LaGrange; great grandmother, Murbes Shepherd; aunts and uncles, Kim and Marty Jones of Dallas, Tonja and Franz Kim of Marietta, Barbie and Lamar Whitley of LaGrange, Benji and Misty Shepherd of LaGrange; several cousins, extended family, teammates and friends also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Sunday, October 12, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, October 13, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville. According to the family’s wishes, the body will be cremated following the service.
