Mr. William Frank Sollicito, Sr., age 69, of Douglasville, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014. He was born April 29, 1944 in Bronx, NY, the son of the late Mr. Vincent Louis Sollicito and the late Mrs. Julia Lamonte Sollicito. He worked for over twenty years and retired from Lockheed Martin. Mr. Sollicito was an avid Braves fan, amazing cook, and was extremely active in his church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Louise Jones Sollicito; brother, Vincent Sollicito; sons-in-law, James Christopher Landmon and William Wyman.He is survived by his daughters, Tina McLucas of Woodland, AL, Tammy Landmon of Douglasville, Ceceilia Dendy of Calhoun; sons and daughter-in-law, Bill Sollicito, Jr. and fiancé Mandy Martin of Acworth, Thomas and Allison Sollicito of Calhoun; brother and sister-in-law, Louis and Martha Sollicito; nineteen grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Mr. Sollicito will lie in state at Beulah Baptist Church, Friday, April 4, 2014 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, April 4, 2014 at 2:00 PM from the Beulah Baptist Church with Dr. Wayne Bray officiating.
