Willie Beatrice Wheeler

Willie "Billie" Beatrice Wheeler, born on February 23, 1945, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2026.

Billie will be remembered as a woman of faith, a Christian whose life reflected the things she loved most. She had a vibrant spirit and a wide range of passions that brought joy to her days and to those around her. She was an animal lover, an avid bowler, and a bowling instructor who shared her skill and enthusiasm with others. Among her proudest accomplishments was the top female bowler in Georgia, an honor that speaks to her talent, dedication, and love for the sport.

Beyond bowling, Billie enjoyed following politics and had a special fondness for a good movie and classic rock. She was also a devoted fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, the Atlanta Falcons, and Nascar racing. These interests were part of the warmth and personality that made her so memorable to those who knew and loved her.

Billie is preceded in death my her husband, Roy "Danny" Daniel Wheeler, parents, William Orell Cole and Opal Inez McGarity; Daughters, Penny Padget, Lisa Gravley and her sister, Patsy Hames.

She is survived by her son, David Lee Gravley and her daughter in law, Susan of Apollo Beach, FL; her brother, Robert Cole of Douglasville, GA; nephew, Randy Cole; grandchildren, Michelle McClure, Christopher Mathew, Richard Joseph and several great children. Her memory will remain a blessing to all who were touched by her presence.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Douglas Chapel with a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Jones-Wynn Douglas Chapel. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery.

Billie will be remembered for her faith, her accomplishments, and the joy she found in the simple and spirited things of life. May her memory bring comfort and peace to all who remember her.
