Willis McCranie

Our loving father, James Willis McCranie, 71, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Monday, July 4, 2016. He was born September 23, 1944 in Fitzgerald, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. George Alvin McCranie and the late Mrs. Jeanette Frances Louthan McCranie. He worked for Stockham Valves and Fittings and WAI where he retired. He was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Cleveland McCranie on January 7, 2007, Momma is waiting for you; granddaughter, Jordan Crutchfield; and brother, Charles Edward McCranie. He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy McCranie Como of Springfield, MO, Suzanne McCranie Dees and her husband, Hank of Lithia Springs, and Gina McCranie Crutchfield and her husband, David of Lithia Springs; three sisters, Bobbie Phillips of Cayce, SC, Christine McGriff of Sierra Vista, AZ, and Lorraine Southerland of Snellville, GA; seven grandchildren, Ret. Sgt. Christopher Dees, Jodi Belcher, Courtney Como-Olah, Chastity McCranie, Jeremy Crutchfield, Spencer Pruitt, and Stephen Pruitt; nine great-grandchildren, Madison Sha Belcher, Abigale Josephine Belcher, Mikael Allen Olah, Nicholas Lee Olah, Izabella Shae Evans, Jonathan LaMont Evans, Payson Morgan Evans, Bryson Christopher Dees, and Elliott Gauge Dees; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, July 8, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Rev. Jimmy Dunn officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville. Messages of condolence to the family may be sent at www.jones-wynn.com.
