Wilma Jean Hutto

February 27, 1944 — May 29, 2026

Douglasville

Mrs. Jean passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, May 29, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Delano Hutto of Lakeland, Georgia. They were married for 38 years until his passing in 2008. She was the last surviving sibling out of 9.

Mrs. Jean (Pudge) grew up as a true coal miners daughter from the Appalachian mountains of Stonega, in south west Virginia. Her parents were Milam Caner and Lola Anderson Sizemore. After marrying, she moved to Oxford, Alabama. The family was then transferred to Jacksonville, Florida. In 1987, they moved to Douglasville, Georgia. She worked at the West Georgia Bowling Center in the child care center and also enjoyed bowling on leagues over the years, and bowled 2,300 games in her life. Mrs. Jean also enjoyed bingo and traveling different places to play.

In her latter years she got joy from being at home with her grandchildren. She loved sitting on the porch keeping up with the ongoings in the neighborhood. She enjoyed talking with the neighbors and treated them as family.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Amanda Hutto Castro (Celso); and son and daughter-in-law Billy Hutto (Marisa). Her 5 grandchildren: Destiny Wilson, Lola Castro, Lili Castro, Regan Hutto (Saul) and Shelbie Hutto.

Our family is deeply grateful to Amazing Grace Hospice Care for the love and care that they showed Mrs. Jean and our entire family throughout this journey .

At this time there will be no service, per her wishes she will be cremated.

Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com. Jones-Wynn Funeral Home and Crematory of Douglasville is in charge of the arrangements. 770-942-2311
