Wylene Smallwood

Mrs. Wylene Joyce Driver Smallwood, age 79, of Villa Rica passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton. She was born October 20, 1932 in Dallas, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. Owen Lee Driver and the late Mrs. Jewell Reynolds Driver. Mrs. Smallwood had worked for Bryant Manufacturing Company, a Nurses Aide and also a Teachers Aide for Villa Rica Primary School. Mrs. Smallwood more recently was the owner and operator of Smallwood Clothing in Villa Rica. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Andrew Bobby Kirkland. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Bob Smallwood of Villa Rica; daughter and son-in-law Karen and Charly Kirkland of Villa Rica; sons and daughters-in-law Greg and Vonnie Smallwood of Grayson, Noel and Mitzi Smallwood of Douglasville, and Kenneth Lee Smallwood of Villa Rica; two sisters, Geneva Carter of Cumming, Linda Hill of Lafayette; brother, Hoyt Driver of Rex; eleven grandchildren, Scott Smallwood, Patrick Smallwood, Tyler Smallwood, Alaine Smallwood, Jason Smallwood, Justin Smallwood, Jared Smallwood, Kailin Smallwood, Weston Smallwood, Sam Kirkland, and Joseph Kirkland. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica Friday, November 18, 2011 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted at Utopia Baptist Church in Villa Rica, Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 2:00 PM with Dr. Garland Odom and Rev. Chad Long officiating.
