Zachary Van Buren McBrayer, age 25 of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on August 29, 2024, at 3:25 PM, at peace and surrounded by his loved ones. Born on May 27, 1999, Zach was a positive, driven, passionate, and caring soul who always wanted to lift others up. He saw the good in people and never spoke badly of anyone. He was also stubborn, fun, creative, and had a wild streak. Thanks to that, he left the world with a lot of music to enjoy and endless memories to cherish.
Zach was preceded in death by his Grandparents - Mary Bowling McBrayer, Martin Van Buren McBrayer, Sherry Shirley Eaton, and A.C. Eaton; and is survived by his loving family – his Father, Dr. Daniel McBrayer; his Mother, Dr. Cammie Eaton Della Valle; his beloved Brothers and Sisters, Mitchell McBrayer (Shermaine McBrayer), Victoria McBrayer (Warren Benjamin Fraser), Meagan Lantinga (Matthew Lantinga), Dr. Daniel McBrayer, Jr. (Catherine McBrayer), and David McBrayer (Lisa McBrayer). They, along with the countless lives Zach touched, mourn his passing and are forever grateful for the time they had with him and the memories they will cherish endlessly.
Zach was an artist who expressed himself through rapping and creating music, a dream that he lived every day and never gave up on. He never shied away from saying exactly what he thought and his ability to be vulnerable and share with others was deeply admirable.
In memory of Zach, a visitation and gathering of friends and family will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at District Line United Methodist Church, 3044 Morgan Rd, Bremen, GA 30110. A memorial service to celebrate Zach’s life will follow at 3:00 PM. Zach’s family invites all who loved him to join in celebrating his life. True to Zach’s spirit, this event will be an informal gathering where guests are encouraged to wear what feels right, be it an anime t-shirt (he loved anime), bright colors, or whatever they believe Zach would have liked. Formal attire is also acceptable, of course.
If you would like to send flowers, they can be sent to the District Line United Methodist Church. Donations may also be made to Insulin for Life USA, supporting Zach’s wish to help those in need to have access to insulin and diabetes management supplies.
